America's Divorce

THIS IS SO INCREDIBLY WELL PUT AND I CAN HARDLY BELIEVE IT'S BY A YOUNG
PERSON, A STUDENT!!! WHATEVER HE RUNS FOR, I'LL VOTE FOR HIM.

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists
and Obama supporters, et al: We have stuck together since the late 1950's,
but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I
want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake
of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has run its course. Our
two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is
right so let's just end it on friendly terms.
We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own
way. Here is a model separation agreement:

Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a
portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can
come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our
respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both
sides have such distinct and disparate tastes. We don't like redistributive
taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the
ACLU. Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the
NRA and the military. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O'Donnell
(You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough
to move all three of them).

We'll keep the capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies,
Wal-Mart and Wall Street. You can have your beloved homeless, homeboys,
hippies and illegal aliens. We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy
CEO's and rednecks.. We'll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood .

You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to
invade and hammer places that threaten us. You can have the peaceniks and
war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we'll
help provide them security.

We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values.. You are welcome to Islam,
Scientology, Humanism and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U. N..
but we will no longer be paying the bill.

We'll keep the SUVs, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take
every Subaru station wagon you can find.

You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors.
We'll continue to believe healthcare is a luxury and not a right. We'll keep
The Battle Hymn of the Republic and the National Anthem. I'm sure you'll be
happy to substitute Imagine, I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing, Kum Ba Ya
or We Are the World.

We'll practice trickle down economics and you can give trickle up poverty
your best shot. Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our
name and our flag.

Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along to other like minded
liberal and conservative patriots and if you do not agree, just hit delete.
In the spirit of friendly parting, I'll bet you ANWAR which one of us will
need whose help in 15 years.

Socialism Fact of the Day

Just wanted to comment on the fact that most of us Americans DO realize that the real news is not being reported... All we know about our socialist president is his date night with his wife, his pet, and.... that his brother lives in a mud shack.

BUT, when Bush was president, we heard every time he stepped in a mud hole because he, solely, was destroying the environment causing massive rains and glacier melting - which causes mud holes and the death of all protected animals... wow, what a resume. IF only one man had such power.

Now, all the unveiled public, stand up and say so... GO TO YOUR REGIONAL TEA PARTIES!!

Gun or No Gun?

Thank GOD it's Friday... I guess I will have to break down and get a gun while I still can; however, I am wondering if I should register the weapon just to have it confiscated once, yet another one of our constitutional rights are taken away? If so, then only the criminals will have the guns... well, that's not good, but food for thought.

Criminals... If I am already considered a terrorist (pro-life, pro-immigration reform, or VET), then aren't I a criminal already? Guess that answers the weapons question!!

I wanted to add the following letter... seemed fitting:

Dear Mr. President,

I am appalled that you bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia! We are a sovereign nation and bow to no one! The following letter, which I received as an email, expresses my sentiments a lot better than I could. I don’t know who actually wrote it, but he ought to be given an award. You have NO idea what being an American is. You are tearing my country apart.

Dear Mr. President,
You don't speak for me.
When you go to Europe and say that Americans are "arrogant, dismissive and derisive" of our allies, you don't speak for me. When you pander to foreign leaders, presuming to speak on behalf of all Americans, apologizing for the actions of President Bush, you don't speak for me. When you desperately try to surrender to the French and the Germans, the Russians and the Saudis, and even our great friends in the U.K., just for the sake of maintaining your "Messiah" image, you don't speak for me.
You and your wife may not be proud of America, but I am, sir.
The Europeans seem to have forgotten who saved their collective asses in World War II, but I haven't. I haven't forgotten the tens of thousands of American fighting men who spilled their blood all across Europe to stop a murderous psychopath and his rampaging army. And I haven't forgotten the tens of thousands more who served in theater after that war, when the threat of Soviet advance through the Fulda Gap was ever present. I haven't forgotten, because I was there, for a time, anyway. I saw the obscenity of the Berlin Wall. I saw what happened to people who tried to escape communist Germany by climbing it, or trying to navigate the surrounding mine fields. I occasionally patrolled that border, mirroring Soviet or Czech patrols. And I remember watching on TV, crying as the wall was finally torn down.
I love Germany and England (France, not so much) and was ready to put my life on the line to defend them. So were the men I served with. Many Americans continue to serve across Europe in the military uniform of the United States, more willing, apparently, than many Europeans themselves, to preserve the freedom there that we have already paid for with our blood. I spent my money all over Europe, helping those economies flourish and grow, as did many other American servicemen and women who lived and served there. My only thanks was a very small paycheck, some wonderful memories and the knowledge that I was doing something worthwhile that I could be proud of for the rest of my life. I was, until today.
And then some pandering politician comes along and apologizes for all of that. You never served your country in military uniform, sir, so you wouldn't know how positively insulting that is. In fact, you've never done anything for this country but run for office. You won the election and still you're running a campaign instead of acting like the leader of our great nation. And I don't like it one bit.I want peace. I want it for my family, for my friends and for my country. I've earned it and will continue to do so until the day I die. I want peace with Russia and China, even Iran and North Korea, if it were somehow possible. I want there to be a free exchange of ideas and trade goods and tourism between all of our nations.

But the difference between you and I, sir, is that I would never sell out my country to gain their applause. Maybe you think you're earning their respect and admiration by being weak and apologetic, but I know better. The only thing you did was weaken my country. And I won't forget it.
I am proud of my country and not even the President of the United States can take that away from me.

Sir, you must stop bankrupting my country and taking it down a road to Socialism. You and the Democrats are tearing this country apart.

Cudos to Catie Couric -- Really!!!

Thank you -- For doing the right thing and acknowledging the T.E.A. Party actually took place!! Our fearless leader was evidently kept in the dark about this Huge American protest. I'm not sure why, other that he and his disciples must have been hot on the trail of some homeland terrorists... otherwise known as non-abortion supporters, non-immigration supporters and United States Veterans, or at least Homeland Security thinks of them as terrorists... What is this word coming to???

Sorry, I digress... Anyway, To be fair to the American people, the 'left' media should at least have shown some of the tax rally (other than the few seconds of CNN asking and answering her own questions.) since half a Million people showed up as the Voice of the People -- neither 'right' nor 'left'. We must keep our nation FOR the People and BY the people. We the People spoke last night.

Swampy's Afternoon

Us ladies, looks like after a beer or two, smiling for the camera. We look so satisfied... It is either the nice beer buz in the middle of the afternoon or our cute waiter, Kevin (however, I believe we all had our own 'pet' name for him)... :)

"Nevermind the man behind the curtain", or the orange m. leaves around my neck!! These are a very special present from my friend Stacy --- all the way from New Orleans! Kevin also wanted my necklace.

What a cute couple! I love this pic - it is always hard to find one where everyone looks good. Notice this necklace is free of paraphernalia... I think Kevin wanted this one as well!!
